The City of Cape Town has approved a draft agreement that paves the way for land at Sea Point to be returned to the community who were dispossessed forty years ago.  

In terms of the Restitution of Land Rights Act of 1994, an agreement must be concluded between all parties affected by a land restitution claim. In this case the agreement will bind the City of Cape Town, the Land Claims Commissioner and the Tramway Road Community Trust, representing the claimants.

The City of Cape Town will be signing the agreement and the land will be going back to the rightful owners.
