PDSA MOBILE CLINIC IN BONTEHEUWEL RELOCATED

The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) mobile clinic in Kiaat Street, Bonteheuwel has been relocated to a more convenient location at the Multi-purpose Centre in Jakkelsvlei Avenue. The clinic started operating from the centre on 01 February 2001 and offers its services every Thursday from 14h00 to 16h15.

The PDSA provides primary care of pets including vaccinations, deworming and dipping against parasites.

The organisation tends to the needs of animals belonging to owners who cannot afford private veterinary fees. It operates an administration office and hospital in Bridgetown, two mobile clinics service areas in Mitchell’s Plain, Delft, Atlantis, Hout Bay, Kensington, Woodstock, Mamre, Manenberg and Kuils River. There is a treatment centre in Athlone, which is open six days a week.

The PDSA makes a strong appeal to companies and individuals for contributions at either a financial or practical level towards this worthwhile cause and, in so doing ease the burden of thousands of underprivileged animal owners countrywide.
