CITY ELECTRIFICATION PROGRAMME MOVES INTO TOP GEAR WITH OPENING OF DUAL PURPOSE ELECTRICITY DEPOT IN GUGULETU
It's full steam ahead for the City of Cape Town's initiative to provide electricity to all low cost housing areas in the metropole.
But there are many who don't know about the implications and the cost of having electricity in the home, or the advantages it can bring in terms of safety and economic and educational opportunities.
To explain the issues, and to bring its electrification programme to the people, the City has launched a major educational campaign. In the front line of this campaign is the new Guguletu Service Centre, which is being officially opened on Saturday 3 August. It's a community facility with a difference.
Please join us at the official opening of the centre and bring along a photographer/cameraperson to record this exciting new development!
