WORLD CLASS CYCLISTS AT BELLVILLE VELODROME THIS WEEK

Three days of world-class cycling with teams from South Africa and five European countries are coming up at the Bellville Velodrome from Thursday to Saturday this week. Events include elimination races, sprints, marathons and dangerous manoeuvres where cyclists reach 120 km/h in the slipstream of motorcycles. The Cape Town International Three-day Cycling Event is supported by the City of Cape Town and admission is free. On the Sunday after the racing nine thousand cyclists will take part in the Burger-Sanlam Fun Ride over routes of 50 and 103 kilometres.
