FESTIVAL OF BRILLIANT IDEAS WILL BE A HOMEMAKERS WINNER

This year’s staging of the 7th Kfm 94,5 Homemakers Expo at the Good Hope Centre is going to be a winner in more ways than one.

With a wider range of quality products and demonstrations on display than ever before, Cape Town’s homeowners are in for a treat between 22 and 25 August.

Once again, the ever popular radio station Kfm 94.5, will be broadcasting live from the expo and offering listeners a treasure trove of on-the-spot competition prizes and rewards for visiting the three floors of specialist home improvement stands.

Exhibitors  - many of whom have successfully exhibited every year with the expo – cover everything from add-on rooms to expanding doors, from built in cupboards to a huge range of roofing, flooring, plumbing, heating, cooling, curtaining and paving products, as well as a variety of security, painting, furniture and fencing options, to just start the list.

Mostly, the products and services on offer are aimed at homeowners wanting to not only improve the comfort and security of their living space, but also add value and appeal as well. Many of the ideas are indeed brilliant in design.

Take for example the ivy-styled wall top security system that really stops intruders, or the granite, wood or steel choices in kitchen décor, the rock shape pools or patio windows that disappear…………….

The highly successful Homemakers Fair direct response freemag gives a pretty good idea of what’s likely to be on show.

“The concept is simple and highly effective,” said Cape Homemakers Fair managing director, John Leyden. “The Expo creates a highly visible, interactive shop window experience for homeowners to touch and see those products and services they have seen advertised in the magazine each month. It’s a logical extension of each advertiser’s marketing drive and puts them in direct contact with an already motivated and interested customer base”.

With similar expos already drawing large crowds in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Port Elizabeth. “The company is adding Bloemfontein onto the calendar this year and Durban in 2003,” says Leyden. “This will give our advertisers the potential for almost complete national face-to-face exposure with potential customer.”

“Homemakers Fair and Kfm 94.5 Homemakers Expo has – as a combined entity – has got to be this country’s premier holistic home and consumer lifestyle experience,” said Leyden.
