PRESS RELEASE 203
October 2005
Cape Town’s first International Magic Show is due to take place in Cape Town
from 27 to 29 October.
Sweden's champion magician, Love Melander, and South
Africa's TV magician and well-known celebrity illusionist and motivational
speaker, Wolfgang Riebe, will present
an entertaining international evening of magic. Both Love (pronounced Loov), a Swedish
magician chosen by the Swedish Royal Family as sole artist on various occasions, and Wolfgang are part of a select group of magicians who
have performed at Hollywood's Magic Castle and appeared live at many of the
world's most renowned venues.
Said Rosemary Hare, initiator of the International Magic
Show, “Never before have two such experienced magicians appeared together in
this country. The audience will not only be totally mystified and amazed, but
will also enjoy their unique brand of humour.
“The experience that Wolfgang, our partner in this venture,
has notched up in 117 countries will be abundantly evident. While the shows
will appeal to the whole family, Wolfgang and Love will take illusion and magic
as we know it up a few notches to display their international pizzazz and
professionalism.
“We look forward
to our International Magic Show going from strength to strength and becoming an
important part of the Cape Town events calendar.
“This is going to be a truly magical evening and a fantastic live show for the whole family, which is bound to have the audience sitting on the edge of their seats with the thrills of big magic and motivation rolled into one.”
Opening night
will be at The Roxy Revue Bar on Thursday, 27 October and the Friday and
Saturday shows are scheduled to take place at The Theatre @ the Pavilion (formerly
the Imax Theatre).
Tickets are available from Computicket or
The Theatre @ the Pavilion for R120 or R108 per person for group bookings of 10
